Approach your day with a purpose. Be productive by outlining daily structure. Each step is important to reach goals that you develop. No task is too small to feel good about.
Avoid being self-critical. Be as kind and understanding of yourself as you would be to another Use positive self-talk to reassure yourself, to cope effectively, and to allow yourself to see that there are always choices.
Get adequate sleep and rest.
Feed your body, mind, and spirit. Eat meals regularly and nutritionally. Practice good hygiene and grooming.

Review your social support. It can offer relief, distraction, and pleasure. Make a list of your support system and if you do not have one, it is essential to start working on finding one that suits your personality, value system and needs.
Initiate a Journal. Instead of keeping thoughts and feelings inside, where they can build up and cause confusion and emotional/physical distress, get them down on paper. A journal is useful in venting thoughts and feelings, clarifying issues, and problem solving. It can also help in determining patterns, relationships, health, and emotional functioning. Keeping a journal will help you monitor progress in life goals.

Smile and have laughter in your life. Be spontaneous and playful.
